Rent to Buy
 

The property market in Spain is moving all the time and many vendors and developers alike have found that clients look around a great deal before making the step up to a property purchase.

Becasue of this many vendors and developers are offering 'Rent to Buy' contracts, but what does this mean?

Basically, the vendor and the prosepctive buyer agree a purchase price for the property and at the same time a monthly rental payment and the length of the rental contract, usually 11 months.

In this rental period, ALL rent received by the vendor is reduced from the purchase price agreed in the 'Rent to Buy' contract so giving you the option of paying installments towards your property purchase. If you decide not to buy, the vendor keeps the 'rent' money and you find somewhere else to live!
